Google XML Sitemaps
Google、Bing、Yahoo、Ask.comなどの様々なサーチエンジンに向けたクローラー用のXMLサイトマップを自動生成できます。検索エンジンにインデックスされないなあ、という方はSEO対策をしたテンプレートとセットで使うのがおススメ。単独でもなかなか効果的だと思います。絶対導入しておくべきプラグインです。

Contact Form 7
メールフォーム用プラグインはたくさん出ていますが、文句のいい様がないので他のを試したことがない。フィールドのカスタマイズも自由度が高い上、簡単なマークアップを使うだけなので非常に使いやすいです。フォームの複数管理も可能。デヴェロッパーが日本人ということで日本語による説明やサポートもあります。

Broken Link Checker
サイトの運営で厄介なのがリンク切れの確認と整理。ページが膨大にあると特にうんざりしてしまいますよね？Broken Link Checkerは名前のとおりリンク切れをチェックしてくれるプラグインです。画像も含めたリンクの切れの巡回、見つかった場合ダッシュボードでお知らせしてくれます。すべて管理画面で一括して修正でき、内部外部のリンク切れを簡単に管理できます。

Maintenance Mode
ボタンひとつでサイトの代わりにメンテナンス中のページが表示されます。ログインしているユーザー（管理人）のみがサイトを見れます。テンプレートの修正をしたいときや、オープン前のサイトなどに便利です。説明文などの変更は管理画面から。

Exec-PHP
記事、ページ、ウィジェット内でPHPが実行できるプラグイン。ブログではなく純粋にCMSとしてのWordpressの機能をもっと生かしたい場合に便利です。

Quick Stats
リファラー先やヒット数、IPログなど、最低限の機能をつめたシンプルなアクセス解析プラグイン。ページでざっとログが表示されます。簡単な確認がしたい場合におススメ。

WP-DBManager
復元、修正、削除からバックアップまでデータベースの管理がこれひとつで出来ます。データベースにログインして手動でバックアップをする手間が省かれます。

WP-PageNavi
Wordpressのページ送りはデフォルトでは「前のページ」と「次のページ」へのリンクがひとつずつあるだけですが、WP-PageNaviとCSSの組み合わせでスマートに見せることが出来ます。当サイトの下のほうのページ送りが数字で表示されているのがそれです。例: Pages (37): [1] 2 3 4 » … Last »

Akismet
最強のスパムキラー。投稿されたコメントを自動判定、スパムだと疑わしい場合はスパムフォルダーへ隔離、15日後に自動削除されます。迷惑メール対策みたいですね。導入する際はAPI Keyの登録が必要。

WP Super Cache
WordPressの記事をキャッシュし、静的ページへ変換してくれるプラグイン。表示されるたびにデータを読む必要がない、高速にページを表示できます。大規模なサイトや共用サーバの場合は入れておきたいですね。

I wanted to play around with colors/textures and here’s what I came up with.
As much as I love image-heavy sites(As a graphic addict), I also wanted a theme to fit with many different contents for different types of users, so I kept it minimum.

星の数ほどあるブログを見かけては、自分も再燃して始めるのですが、
Jugemのようなプリインストールされたブログすら、テンプレートを作るとこまでいって記事書くのがめんどくさくてもう彼此３０回くらい断念しています。趣味をブログにするのが苦手なのでしょうか。

私がTwitterに見たのは去年の６月あたりで、最初はなんだろうと思ったのですが更新のしやすさと、ブログを小さくしたような使いやすさと斬新なスタイルが気に入りりあえず登録。

以下Twitter関連のWordpressプラグインでイイと思ったもの。

  • Twitter for Wordpress　サイドバーにウィジェット化したTwitterを表示させる。記事件数は指定でき、CSSでカスタマイズ可。表示形式もある程度いじれます。（アカウントがプライベートに設定されている場合は表示されませんのであしからず）
  • WP to Twitter　記事を新規作成・編集、Blogrollに新しいリンクを追加したときなどにTwitterのアカウントへその更新したページへのリンクを張ってくれる。Twitter for Wordpressの逆バージョンのようなものだといっていいと思う。オプション多め。
  • Twitter Friends Widget　Twitterの友達リストをTwitterに表示されているものと同じかたちでサイドバーに表示できます。使ったことがないので細かいことは分かりませんが（！）、表示数が指定可で、Wordpressの管理画面から、友達リストの編集・削除もできる模様。

私にとって初めてのblogはWPでした。MTと比べカスタマイズするときにとっつきやすかったのを覚えています。
WPの強みはユーザー兼デヴェロッパーによるプラグインも豊富で、新しいバージョンに常にアップデートされてること。
MTは一度サーバにインストールすればボタン一つで多数のサイト作成・管理が可能なので複数のドメインを持つ企業サイトと相性がいいです。
またWPがMySQL対応なのに対し、MTはMySQLは勿論、Berkeley DBやPostgreSQL、SQLiteと様々なデータベースから選択可能です。
ただ、MTは記事やカテゴリ作成、テンプレ変更のたびに再構築をする必要があり、記事が増えるとそれごとに再構築が必要なため、サーバに負担がかかる率もあがります。

MTもWPもテンプレ用の独自タグが細かく指定してあるので、それさえつかめばテンプレートを作成するのも簡単。PHPを使った自由なカスタマイズもできます。WPもCodexで使用可能のタグが見れたりします。
カスタマイズ次第でギャラリーやコミュニティーは勿論、SEOをしっかり押さえてればビジネスブログにもできます。
MTが静的ページを吐き出すのに対し、WPはデフォルトで動的ＵＲＬ（例としては?p=12345のような）のページを生成するので、SEOを考慮する場合mod_rewriteを使って静的なURLに変える必要があります。それ以外はSEO面で大きな違いはないと言っていいでしょう。

I integrated the gallery into Wordpress, rather than the Javascript-powered types(such as lightbox), which does not work when its turned off. The new gallery page is not valid yet, since it uses external stylesheet INSIDE the body tags, I’ll need find a different way to fix that.
I saved the old layout, hope to make it come back as a theme as well. Soon maybe?
